Flying By

I don't even know where to start.  I never meant to go this long without posting but as the title of this post says, time is seriously flying by!  It's nice to have days full of fun activities but I also could use some time to take a breath, look at what I'm doing, and hug Darcy. :)

How was your week?

Mine went well.  I got a lot of things checked off that old to-do-list - especially on the wedding list which felt great and satisfying.

I had the privilege of seeing Dirty Dancing at DPAC last week.  It was AWESOME.  I keep telling everyone it was JUST LIKE THE MOVIE.  Which doesn't seem possible and is hard to imagine but it really was!  One of the cast members was my client at Pure Barre in Durham last weekend so that was fun to see her out on stage doing her thing.

This weekend, I had dinner with friends and then watched 500 Days of Summer in bed with my bestie.

She is totally blocking my view of the screen but I just love it when she actually watches TV.  It takes a special type of show to get her watching TV.  It usually has to be a sports game to have her interested.  But for whatever reason, she loved 500 Days of Summer.  Can't blame her.

Saturday we went to Beericana in Holly Springs, NC.  It was the first year for this festival.  They had quite the turnout!

The weather here in North Carolina was BEAUTIFUL!  And this festival had some of my favorite things - local brews, FOOD TRUCKS, and live music.  We hunted down Olio and Aceto for another amazing lunch.

I would definitely recommend this festival to anyone and everyone for next year!

Sunday started out with my first ever hot yoga class at Hot Asana in Durham.  I was hesitant going into it just because I've heard horror stories of people being light headed and wanting to pass out.  I made my best effort to be extremely hydrated.  But it was great!  I really loved it.  I don't know what I was so worried about.  I can't wait to go back.

This evening, I hosted the Pure Barre staff at my house for a little get together.  Darcy loves hosting and getting everyone to pet her.  It was so fun!  I wish I could spend more time with these lovely ladies.

And now it's off to the grind again tomorrow.  I'm hoping to have more time to check-in this week.  Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a great week!  Don't forget to start this week on the right food - and cure that Monday blues. :)

What did you do this weekend?

Have you tried hot yoga?  If so, what are your thoughts?
